Commercial & Industrial

Get in Touch

Our industrial/commercial customers often require testing to understand the safety of the water they are using during their manufacturing processes and on their products. We frequently carry out testing of this nature for companies operating in waste management, manufacturing, metals, construction, food and beverage, horticultural, agricultural, and viticultural sectors.

We can test for a range of substances such as:

Microbiology

Microbial testing is necessary where human health is at risk of being adversely affected by biological pathogens, disease-causing bacteria, and other toxins.

Inorganics

Inorganic chemistry deals with synthesis and behaviour of inorganic and organometallic compounds. This field covers chemical compounds that are not carbon-based.

PFAS

Our PFAS (Per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances) testing solutions in water, sludge and soils have gained IANZ accreditation. To remain ahead of the game, our organics department is testing methods for PFAS - a large group of manmade chemicals that continue to be used in industrial applications, manufacturing, and firefighting foams. Emerging organic contaminants, otherwise referred to as forever chemicals or organic contaminants of emerging concern are understood to present a threat to human health and impact the natural environment.

Metals

Our inorganic trace metals department uses the latest ICP-MS technologies to detect trace metals in waters, soils, dust filters, and shellfish biota. Working out of a custom-built laboratory that has separate areas for sample preparation, instrumental analysis, and administration, the site provides optimum conditions for low level analysis of metals.

Nutrients

Nutrients—especially nitrogen and phosphorus—are key water quality parameters in environmental water. They can have significant direct or indirect impacts on plant growth, oxygen concentrations, water clarity, and sedimentation rates.

Organics

Organic chemistry deals with the structure, properties, composition, reactions, and preparation of carbon-containing compounds. Most organic compounds contain carbon and hydrogen, but they may also include any number of other elements (e.g., nitrogen, oxygen, halogens, phosphorus, silicon and sulfur).

Our testing is typically carried out across a range of areas such as process water, trade waste, cooling towers, boiler waters, solids, and water testing for food handling and processing compliance. We also offer continuous water monitoring for those businesses that require frequent, detailed results.
